Note: This story has been updated to include Kerstyn Pimperton, who was incorrectly left off the original list given to the Frontier Conference.

WHITEFISH, Mont. – Nine student-athletes from the University of Providence women's basketball team were named to the Frontier Academic All-Conference women's basketball team, the conference announced Tuesday morning.

Terra Bertsch (business administration), Kenedy Cartwright (organizational leadership), Maddy Dixon (business administration/exercise science), Parker Esary (sports administration), Jaynah Gopher (psychology), Brooklyn Harn (exercise science), Emilee Maldonado (organizational leadership), Kerstyn Pimperton (biology), Elly Teske (organizational leadership) and Grace Weber (biology) were all recognized by the conference.

"I'm very pleased that we're doing a good job in the classroom," head coach Bill Himmelberg said. "I wouldn't expect anything less from a team with their kind of character."

To earn recognition to the Academic All-Conference team, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore in standing and maintain a 3.25 GPA.

"It just shows the commitment we have to academics," Himmelberg said. "They are students first and athletes second. They make sure that academics is a priority and it's setting them up to be successful for the rest of their lives."
