GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence men's basketball team announced that Jacob Buchignani will join the program.
Buchignani is a 5'7 guard from Three Forks High School in Three Forks, Mont., where he played football and ran track in addition to playing basketball. Named 2nd Team All-Conference last season, he led the Wolves to a state championship averaging 10 points, five rebounds and four assists a game.
"Jacob is a proven winner as he helped lead his team to a state title this past year," head coach Steve Keller said. "He is a true point guard with a high basketball IQ. We are excited to watch his progress."
Buchignani is also excellent in the classroom, having been named Academic All-State five times throughout his high school career. He plans to study psychology at Providence.
