Argo golf wraps up MSU-Northern Invite

Connor Mora earns a top 10 finish

Shelby, Mont. - The first Frontier Conference golf meet is in the books after final round play Tuesday at Marias Valley Golf Course in Shelby. The University of Providence men and women each lost to Rocky Mountain College which won both team events. The Argo women were led by Kielar Jones who moved from 20th to 18th after shooting a second round 89, matching her total from day one. Jones finished +34 for the tournament hosted by MSU-Northern. Kate Murack finished +47 in 22nd, while Eve Knox (+134) and Isabell Sardenas (+153) rounded out the scoring. Providence shot a two-day total of 944.  

The Argo men saw Connor Mora stay in the top 10 after a final round 80 that left him 10 shots behind the leader. Trey Sharp fired a third round 87 to end up in 20th, while JP Briney was tied for 27th at +64, Trey Wasson (+92) and Craig Patera (+125) also competed. Overall, the men finished 177 strokes behind Rocky.  

The Argos return home Friday hosting a fundraiser before heading to Helena for the Carroll College Invite Monday and Tuesday next week.
