ABOUT TECH: The Orediggers have struggled in the first year of Head Coach Jeff Graham. The successful former Belt coach is 6-12 on the season, but does own a win over the Argos, an eight-point victory in Butte earlier in January. That win was followed by a victory over MSU-Northern but since then, the Orediggers have lost three straight. Montana Tech is led by Townsend junior Tavia Rooney who is averaging 14.1 points and eight rebounds per game. Rooney scored a double-double of 26 points, 13 rebounds in Tech's win over the Argos on January 7. Rooney also has 22 blocks and 29 steals on the season. Others to watch for the Orediggers include Aubrie Rademacher (9.8 PPG (Points Per Game)), Dani Urick (8.1 PPG) and Ally Cleverly (38% three-point percentage). MT Tech is averaging 60.61 PPG and shoots 38.8% from the field as a team.

ABOUT CARROLL: The Saints are 7-1 in the Frontier, tied atop the league standings with Rocky Mountain College ahead of the two teams battle in Helena Thursday night. Carroll is coached by Rachelle Sayers and has won four straight. The Saints are +14.5 in scoring margin, +8.0 in rebounding margin and are second in the NAIA allowing just 51.6 points per game. Jamie Pickens leads Carroll at 15.1 PPG and 6.0 RPG. Kyndall Keller scores 11.2 PPG while shooting just over 40% from three and led the way with 15 points in the Saints 32-point win on Jan. 12.

ON THE ARGOS: Providence enters the weekend five games behind Carroll and Rocky in the conference standings, four games behind third-place Montana Western and tied with MT Tech for fourth. After struggling to score for a few games, the Argos have scored 68 and 74 in back-to-back contests, going 1-1 last week. Providence is +4.9 in scoring margin, +9.6 in rebounding margin, and 15th in the country in scoring defense (55.4 PPG allowed). Reed Hazard is coming off a season-high 26 points in last Saturday's loss to Montana Western and leads the Argos at 11.7 PPG. The graduate student from Portland, Ore., also dishes out 2.6 assists per game and has 32 steals. Junior Maddy Dixon went 11 of 15 from the field in a win a week ago over MSU-Northern, scoring 26 points and averaging 7.5 rebounds per game last week. Dixon is averaging 10.9 PPG and 7.7 RPG.
