Women's Soccer Falls to Southern Oregon

GREAT FALLS, Mont. -- The University of Providence women's soccer program fell 4-0 to Southern Oregon Saturday afternoon.

The Raiders (6-4-3) broke through first when Iniana Hammond's pass was received by Kaylah Bresee who found the back of the net to give Southern Oregon a 1-0 lead.

A few minutes later the Argos (2-9-1) had a chance, but freshman Shea Waters' shot went high of the crossbar.

The Argos had another chance late in the first half, but sophomore Kailey Camper's shot was saved by the diving goalkeeper. UP and SOU each had four shots in the first half.

The Raiders would extend their lead to two in the 49th minute when Mia Ammons beat the goalkeeper to make it 2-0.

Despite late pressure from the Argos, Southern Oregon would score another two goals in the second half to win the match 4-0.

The Argos return to action Saturday, Oct. 14, when they host Oregon Tech. The first touch is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. at Argo Field.
