GREAT FALLS, MONT. -- The University of Providence women's soccer program hosts #16 The College of Idaho on Oct. 6 and Eastern Oregon University on Oct. 7. First touch is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. for both matchups.
Last Time Out
The Argos fell to Corban University and Bushnell University. The bright spot of the weekend was a goal by sophomore
Dani Waialeale off a corner kick by senior
Julia Tilton. This was Waialeale's second goal of the season and Tilton's first assist.
Season Leaders
Ofori is the leading goal scorer thus far with four and is the shot leader with 18. Â Junior
Malan Flygare has the second most goals with two. Sophomore
Kailey Camper and Waters both have two assists apiece and Waters is also second in shots with 12. In goal, freshman
Kam Nadeja is the save leader for UP with 36 so far this season.
The College of Idaho
The College of Idaho was ranked #16 in the latest NAIA coaches top 25 rankings. The Argos are 3-7 in their last 10 meetings with the Yotes with their last win coming in 2017. The College of Idaho is 9-1-1 so far this season and are coming off a 3-0 victory over Oregon Tech their last time out.
Eastern Oregon
UP is 1-9 in their last 10 meetings with the Mountaineers with their last win coming in 2018. Â Eastern Oregon is 4-1-4 so far this season and are coming off a 1-0 loss against Southern Oregon University their last time out. Â
Head coach
Heather Blandford on the matchups this weekend stated, "After two tough road games we are looking forward to being back home. We are facing some tough competition with matches against #16 College of Idaho and Eastern Oregon University who has been ranked or receiving votes for much of the season. Our focus is to move this program forward and getting to play against some of the best teams in the country is a great way for us to do that. We are excited to compete."
