BUTTE, Mont. – The University of Providence men's basketball program fell 96-88 in overtime to Dickinson State Friday night.
The Blue Hawks (4-2) scored the first two field goals of the game courtesy of a layup by Kose Egbule and a three-pointer by John Evans.
The Argos (4-3) would respond with a layup by senior
Davien Harris-Williams and a pair of free throws by senior
Sam Vining to cut the Dickinson lead to one.

UP would continue their momentum going on a 14-3 run behind back-to-back layups by graduate transfer
Freddy Brown III to give the Argos an 18-10 lead.
The Blue Hawks would slowly chip into the lead the rest of the first half going into the break with the Argos leading by two. Harris-Williams led the way for the Argos with 10pts in the first half.
Three minutes into the second half, Dickinson would take their largest lead of the game when a fastbreak dunk by Gus Wright gave the Blue Hawks a 41-36 lead.
There would be seven lead changes over the next 10 minutes culminating in a 57-57 tie with seven minutes remaining.
With five minutes left, Egbule would hit a layup to take a six-point lead, but a three by junior
Kenny Curtis brought the game back within three.
UP would continue to cut into the lead until a three by Harris-Williams and a layup by junior
Drayton Caoile tied the game at 75. Each side would hit a pair of free throws down the stretch to send the game to overtime tied at 77.
Despite being tied at 79, Dickinson State would shoot 87.5% from the field in overtime to come away with the 96-88 victory.
The Argos will be back in action Dec. 3 when they visit Montana State University Billings. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in Billings, Mont. Â Â Â Â
