GREAT FALLS, Mont. -- The University of Providence women's basketball program travels to Helena for matchups with RV Southern Oregon and #10 LC State. Both contests will take place in the PE Center.
Head coach
Bill Himmelberg on this weekend's matchups stated, "We are looking forward to getting in another two games against two high quality opponents. I've been optimistic with the improvements we have made thus far and am excited to continue to grow with this great group of young women."
Last Time Out
The Argos went 2-0, defeating #9 Vanguard University 72-53 and beating RV Stephens College 62-59. In the victory over Stephens, graduate transfer
Ashlee Maldonado scored or assisted on every point in the first quarter and scored 12 points in the fourth quarter going 2-2 from the field and 8-8 from the free throw line. Â

Maldonado is the Argos leading scorer and assist getter so far this season averaging 19.4pts and 5.7ast per game. Freshman
Keanna Salave'a has the most rebounds with 13.9 per game, and she is also second on the team in points averaging 17. Defensively, senior
Kolby Pimperton leads the Argos averaging 2.2 steals per game.
RV Southern Oregon
Southern Oregon was receiving votes to be ranked in the latest NAIA coach's poll. The Raiders are 2-0 so far this season and are coming off a 60-45 victory over Simpson their last time out. UP is 1-1 in their history against SOU falling in the most recent matchup 97-92 in 2009. Â
#10 LC State
LC State was ranked #10 in the latest NAIA coach's poll. The Warriors are 3-0 so far this season and are coming off a 65-51 victory over Montana Tech their last time out. UP has won the last two matchups with LC State defeating the Warriors 73-65 and 69-66, respectively.
How to Watch
The Argos will face RV Southern Oregon at 5:00 p.m. on Friday and will face #10 LC State at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
