GREAT FALLS, MONT. -- The University of Providence men's wrestling program hosts the Battle of the Rockies starting on Dec. 1. The Argos will open with duals at 3:00 p.m. on Friday and will follow with the Battle of the Rockies tournament on Saturday starting at 9:00 a.m.   

Last Time Out

The Argos had three wrestlers place second at the Spokane open in redshirt sophomore Raf LeaPaga, junior Caleb Werner, and redshirt freshman Aidan Go. UP also had four wrestlers place third in redshirt freshman Na'u McBrayer, freshman Pig Hobbs, redshirt sophomore #21 ranked Ethan DeRoche, and redshirt freshman Tristan Bremer.

UP is currently ranked #11 in the NAIA poll and have seven wrestlers ranked in the top 20.

Battle of the Rockies

Along with the #11 ranked Argos, #8 MSU-Northern (NAIA), #3 Southeastern (NAIA), #9 Northwest (NJCAA), #8 North Idaho (NJCAA), #3 University of Calgary (U-SPORTS), #1 University of Alberta (U-SPORTS), and Snow College will be competing in the McLaughlin Center on Saturday.

Head Coach Steve Komac on the matchup stated, "We are extremely excited to be wrestling here at home this weekend. The duals and tournament will get a boost this weekend with #3 ranked Southeastern Florida joining us. We will have three NAIA schools that are currently ranked in the top 10."
