GREAT FALLS, Mont. - Six seniors wrestled for the final time at home Saturday and the University of Providence men's wrestling team rolled to two Cascade Conference dual wins over No. 16 Embry-Riddle (Ariz.) and Arizona Christian.
The Argos started the day with a 39-6 win over Arizona Christian as the Firestorm forfeited the first three matches before Rico Robles picked up a sudden victory over UP's Andrew Macias 6-4. Aden Graves pinned Gavyn Fredrickson to win at 157, Bridger Hall decisioned Davion Barnes 8-3 at 165, Alan Badley earned a 14-5 decision over Kaden Martin at 184, with Liam Swanson winning a 15-2 decision over Michael Moreno at 197 and Ethan DeRoche picking up a 12-2 decision over Zion Longsine at 285.
In the second match of the day, the ninth-ranked Argos saw wins from Deven Altenburg-Lasher (125), Joel Avila (133), Hall (165), Sawyer Hobbs (184), Swanson (197) and KC Buday (285) to knock off the Eagles of Embry-Riddle. Hobbs and Buday won by pins. Providence improves to 9-2 in duals this season and next will wrestle MSU-Northern Thursday night at Lockwood, Mont.
