HAVRE, Mont. - Brooklyn Harn scored a career-high 21 points to lead the University of Providence women to a season sweep of MSU-Northern in a 68-51 win at Havre Saturday in Frontier Conference hoops.
Harn went 6 of 9 in the first half including a perfect 3 for 3 from the three-point line scoring 15 points while Reed Hazard also scored 15 first-half points as the Argos jumped out to a 23-8 lead after one quarter and a sixteen-point lead at the half. Harn and Hazard combined for all of Providence's first quarter points on a combined 8 of 12 effort from the field. Hazard finished the game with 18 points, five rebounds and five assists.
MSU-Northern led 6-0 before the Argos settled in and took charge thanks partly to a 10-0 run. The Argos would lead by as many as 20 in the second quarter. The Skylights fall to 0-12 in the Frontier, 7-18 overall and shot 35.3% from the field, 20.8% from three and 58.8% at the free throw line. MSU-N was led by Briaunna McCollough's 14 points while Shyann Krass added 13 in the loss.
Maddy Dixon joined Harn and Hazard in double figures with 13 points and added 12 rebounds. Providence committed just seven turnovers and outrebounded the Skylights 38-30, including 16 offensive rebounds which led to 14 second chance points.
Providence improves to 14-11 overall, 4-8 in league play and returns to action next week hosting No. 15 Montana Western Thursday, Montana Tech Saturday in the final two regular season home games.
