CALDWELL, Idaho. – The University of Providence women's soccer program fell 5-1 to #11 The College of Idaho Saturday night.
The Yotes (10-0-2) scored the first goal of the contest in the ninth minute, and a few minutes later would extend their lead to two when Natasja Davis scored her ninth goal of the season.
The College of Idaho scored another two goals the rest of the half as UP went into the break trailing 4-0.
The Yotes would make it 5-0 in the 54
th minute, but the Argos (5-6-1) would respond when senior
Ernestina S. Ofori found freshman
Brooklyn Poole who found the back of the net for her second goal of the season.
Both sides would pressure the rest of the way, and despite a late shot from senior
Rane Jackson, the Argos fell to #11 The College of Idaho 5-1.
The Argos will be back in action Oct. 18 when they travel to Klamath Falls, Ore. First touch is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. (MST) versus Oregon Tech.
