The University of Providence men's soccer program fell to Southern Oregon 1-0 Saturday afternoon.
The Argos (1-12) had a chance early when sophomore
Geovanni Lugo corralled the ball just outside the box, but his bouncing shot was stopped by the goalkeeper.
UP had another opportunity late in the first half when sophomore
Ryan Baldwin stole the ball from an SOU defender, but his shot was stopped by the goalkeeper as UP went into the break tied at zero.
The Raiders (11-3-1) scored the first goal of the game four minutes into the second half, and despite a few late chances, UP fell to Southern Oregon 1-0.
The Argos will be back in action Oct. 25, when they host The Evergreen State College. The first touch is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. (MST) in Great Falls, Mont. Â
