The University of Providence women's soccer program fell 1-0 to The Evergreen State College Friday afternoon.
The Argos (5-8-1) had the first chance of the game when senior
Ernestina S. Ofori beat the defender, but her shot went just wide of the net.
UP would continue to pressure with another chance by freshman
Andriah Watson, but her shot went off the crossbar and then caught by the goalkeeper.
The Argos had one final opportunity in the first half when senior
Rane Jackson's shot was blocked, but the rebound from sophomore
Shea Waters was wide right as UP went into the half tied at zero.
The Geoducks (2-7-3) scored one minute into the second half, and despite shots from freshman
Jordan Fagert and Waters, the Argos fell to The Evergreen State College 1-0.
The Argos will be back in action Oct. 26, when they host Northwest University. The first touch is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. (MST) in Great Falls, Mont.
