Ashlee Maldonado and Keanna Salave'a Earn Frontier Conference Players of the Week

HELENA, Mont. – After leading the Argos to victories over Jamestown and Master's, senior Ashlee Maldonado and sophomore Keanna Salave'a have been named the Frontier Conference Women's Basketball Players of the Week.
 
Maldonado is from Sunnyside, Wash. and scored 18 and 22 points to average 20 per game over the two victories. Ashlee also added five rebounds and 5.5 assists per game while shooting 53.8% from three.

This is Maldonado's first player of the week award this season and fourth of her career after taking home the award three times in 2023-2024.
 
Salave'a is from Vancouver, Wash. and put up a pair of double doubles scoring 18 and 22 points while tallying 11 and 13 rebounds over the two victories. Keanna also added 2.5 blocks per game while shooting 73.1% from the field.
 
This is Salave'a's first player of the week award this season and third of her career after taking home the award twice in 2023-2024. Ashlee and Keanna are the sixth Argos in the last four seasons to be named player of the week joining Maddy Dixon, Brooklyn Harn, Parker Esary, and Emilee Maldonado.   
 
Head coach Bill Himmelberg on his athlete's performance stated, "Ashlee and Keanna did an amazing job leading our team to a successful weekend. Ashlee continues to make everyone around her better and Keanna continues to improve every time she touches the court. I am looking forward to watching them continue to progress throughout the season."
 
Argos will be back in action Friday, Nov. 15 when they travel to Gilbert, Ariz. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. (MST) versus Park University Gilbert (AZ).
