CALDWELL, Idaho. – The University of Providence men's basketball program fell to #25 LC State 93-73 Saturday night.
The Warriors (3-0) scored the first five points of the game, but a jumper from senior Jamil Bowles made it 5-2 one minute into the game.
LC State would slowly extend their lead out to 12, but a 10-0 run from the Argos (0-4) behind baskets from juniors Ryan Chavez and Brendan Redhead made it 21-19 midway through the first half.
The Warriors would answer by outscoring the Argos 32-12 the rest of the half as UP went into the break trailing 53-31.
LC State scored the first points of the second half, and despite late pressure from the Argos, UP fell to the Warriors 93-73.
The Argos will be back in action Friday, Nov. 10 when they face Northwest Indian College. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. in Great Falls, Mont. Â Â
