GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) has announced the top 25 schools according to cumulative team grade point averages within NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA. The 2023-2024 women's basketball program at the University of Providence finished with the 18th highest GPA throughout the NAIA.

"The WBCA is pleased to recognize those women's basketball programs that have committed themselves to excellence on the court and in the classroom," said WBCA Executive Director Danielle Donehew. "The 112 teams we honor this year strive to achieve all-around success and we commend their efforts. Congratulations!"

This is the 13th time the women's basketball program has earned a spot on the WBCA top 25 honor roll under the tutelage of coach Bill Himmelberg. The University of Providence was one of two Frontier Conference programs appearing on the list along with Carroll College who the Argos defeated in both the Frontier Conference Championship game and the NAIA National Semifinal.

Athletic Director Doug Hashley stated, "Coach Himmelberg has always done an outstanding job with his team, especially in the classroom. It is fantastic to see the women's basketball program honored for all of their hard work at the University of Providence."
