MARSHALL, Mo. -- The University of Providence men's wrestling program competed at the Missouri Valley Invitational throughout the day Saturday. 

The highlight for the Argos was #16 Jalen Vladic who went 4-0 on Saturday to place third at the Missouri Valley Invitational.

Vladic dominated #8 Alex Pena, Nicholas Dehart, Nikolas Slatoff, and Kirstofer Arrey winning by a pin and three major decisions to finish his weekend 7-1.

The Argos had three other placers in #13 Bridger Hall who finished 6-3 for a sixth place finish at 165, Blake Woolsey went 4-3 to finish in eighth at 133, and Abel Nava Jr. medically forfeited out after making the semifinals to finish in sixth at 174.

The Argos will be back in action Saturday, Feb. 1 when they head to Ashland, Ore. UP will wrestle #9 Southern Oregon at 6:00 p.m. (MST).
