GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence women's volleyball program defeated Dickinson State 3-1 to move to 18-0 in Frontier Conference play and extend their overall winning streak to 24 games.
The first set was back-and-forth until a 7-1 run from the Argos (25-1) behind kills from seniors
Sadie Giles,
Kiyana Faupula, and junior
Martyna Fiedler put UP in front 10-5. The Blue Hawks (11-11) brought the set within three, but a 9-1 stretch from the Argos off kills from senior
Bella Green and Fiedler gave the Argos a 20-10 edge. UP cruised the rest of the set with a kill from Faupula securing the first 25-14.
In the second set the Blue Hawks got out to an 11-8 lead, but a kill from Fiedler brought the set within one. Dickinson continued their momentum with a 10-1 run, and despite a 6-1 stretch from the Argos, the Blue Hawks scored the final two points of the second to take the set 25-18.
The Argos answered to start the third set getting out to a 12-3 lead behind kills from Fiedler, Green, and block by seniors

In the fourth set the Blue Hawks got out to an 8-4 lead, but a 4-1 run from the Argos off a kill from Thompson and an ace from Giles tied the set at nine. UP continued their momentum with an 8-1 run behind a pair of kills from senior
Ryann Eddins, and despite a late pair of kills from Dickinson, a kill from Fiedler secured the fourth set for UP 25-15, and the match 3-1.
Junior
Cabry Taylor led the way for the Argos with 11 kills while hitting .320, senior
Bella Thompson totaled 35 assists and junior
Kyra Saiers had a team high 25 digs.
The Argos will be back in action on Friday, Oct. 31 when they head to Madison, S.D. Game time is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. (MST) versus #24 Dakota State.
