GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence men's basketball team hosts Bushnell University on Friday at 3:00 p.m. and Simpson University on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. for the Erck Hotels Classic sponsored by Pro-Tech Steel.
 
Last Time Out
The Argos fell to Life Pacific 69-66 and #9 The Master's 93-85 on the road to open the season.  
 
Stat Leaders
The Argos leading scorer so far this season has been junior Marvel Chambers Jr. who is averaging 18.0 points per game. Chambers Jr. and sophomore Quinn Swanson are leading the team in rebounds with 5.5 per game. UP has two others averaging double figure scoring in senior Ryan Chavez with 10.5 and junior Marcus Lawson with 10. Defensively Chambers Jr. leads the way with 2 steals per game.
 
Bushnell University
The Beacons finished last season with a record of 13-16 and fell to The College of Idaho in the first round of the Cascade Collegiate Conference Tournament. This will be the second matchup in program history between Bushnell and the University of Providence with the Argos falling 87-78 in the lone matchup last year in Helena.
 
Simpson University
The Red Hawks finished last season with a record of 13-13 and were 4-6 in the Cal Pac. This will be the second matchup in program history between Simpson and the University of Providence with the Argos taking the lone matchup 86-78 in 2013.
