GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence women's volleyball program swept Montana Tech to claim the Frontier Conference outright title Saturday afternoon.
In the first set the Orediggers (16-14) scored the first five points, but the Argos (28-2) slowly cut into the lead tying the set at 12. Neither side could gain a lead by more than two the rest of the set until UP scored the final three behind a block from seniors

The Argos got out to an early 9-3 lead in the second set behind kills from junior
Cabry Taylor and senior
Sadie Giles. UP continued to roll the rest of the set ending the second on an 8-2 run with a kill from senior
Kiyana Faupula taking the set for UP 25-13.
In the third set the Argos started hot getting out to an 8-3 lead behind a pair of aces from Thompson and junior
Kyra Saiers. Montana Tech slowly cut into the lead bringing the set within three late, but a kill from senior
Bella Green secured the third set for UP 25-22, and the match 3-0.
Seniors
Ryann Eddins and
Franny Martins led the way for the Argos with 11 kills apiece; senior
Bella Thompson totaled 39 assists, and senior
Sadie Giles had a team high 14 digs.
The Argos will be back in action on Thursday, Nov. 13 when they head to Helena, Mont. for the first round of the Frontier Conference Tournament. Â Â Â Â Â Â
