GREAT FALLS, Mont. -- The University of Providence women's wrestling program competed at the Battle of the Rockies throughout the day Saturday.  

The Argos had four athletes crowned champions and four others reach the championship match at the Battle of the Rockies on Saturday.

#1 Erin Hikiji finished her day 3-0 defeating Ella Tagusa 10-0, Zoey Haney 6-0, and dominated #3 Makayla Young 10-0 in the championships match.

#4 Waipuilani Estrella-Beauchamp went 5-0 on Saturday pinning Lilyahnna Hancock in 1:15, pinned Abby Wolf in 1:01, defeated Arshveer Sidhu 10-0, defeated Jade Morales 10-0, and pinned #1 returning National Champion Jumoke Adekoye in 2:28 in the championship match.

#7 Esther Han defeated Nevaeh Leonard 12-1, Sophoa Povagenuc 10-0, her teamate Taydem Uyemura 2-0, and defeated Makayla Correa 10-3 in the championship match. 

Freshman Elise Twait was the other first-place finisher on Saturday finishing her day 4-0, pinning Elizabeth Latulippe in 53 seconds, defeated Alexis Lavers 10-0, pinned Holland Wieber 4-0, and then defeated #4 Hayden Newberg 11-3 in the championship match.

#7 Alyssa Randles, #1 Paige Morales, Kacey Lee Pua, and Mckenzie Mills all advanced to the championship match on Saturday but were unable to come out on top finishing in second place.

The Argos will be back in action Saturday, Nov. 15 when they head to Grand Junction, Colo. UP will wrestle Colorado Mesa University at 5:00 p.m. (MST).
