GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence women's wrestling team heads to Naperville, Illinois for the North Central Invitational on Dec. 14.

The Argos went 7-0 at the Patriot Duals defeating #1 Life 48-1, #5 Indiana Tech 33-11 and 32-14, #6 Lindsey Wilson 37-10 and 31-16, #19 Campbellsville University 44-3, and Rochester Christian 45-5.
 
Rankings
The Argos set a new program record moving up to the #2 ranking in the NAIA Top 20 poll and have 12 individual wrestlers ranked in the top 20 of their respective weight classes in #1 Erin Hikiji (103), #1 Waipuilani Estrella-Beauchamp (131), #3 Paige Morales (110), #4 Alyssa Randles (124), #5 Elise Twait, #5 Esther Han (138), #7 Hailey Sutton (160), #8 Joely Slyter (117), #8 Kassidy Sigda (180), #10 Kayla Shota (110), #10 Frances Porteous (160), and #12 Isa Bocanegra (103).
 
North Central Invitational
The North Central Invitational is one of the most prestigious tournaments of the season hosted by North Central College in Naperville, Illinois. Among the field on Sunday will be NCAA #1 Iowa, #3 Grand Valley State, #4 North Central, #5 Colorado Mesa, #6 King, and NAIA #3 Grand View, #7 Indiana Tech, and # 11 Southern Oregon.
 
#1 Erin Hikiji was named the Outstanding Wrestler of the North Central Invitational in 2023 and 2024 after defeating #1 Maddie Avila of North Central in 2023 and #1 Brianne Murphy of Iowa in 2024.
