GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence men's basketball program fell to Montana Tech 83-52 Saturday evening.

Montana Tech (21-6) scored the first three points of the game, the Argos (15-13) answered back with a layup from senior Nikolajs Atanasov to bring the game within one.

The Orediggers started out hot going up 13 early as the Argos struggled to score but a jumper from senior
Mike Wright Jr. brought UP within eight halfway through the first.

Montana Tech responded going on a quick 12-0 run but the Argos answered back with an and one bucket from junior
Ryan Chavez and three from Wright Jr. to make it 31-16 with six minutes remaining.

The Argos offensive struggles continued as the Orediggers were able to extend their lead to as much as 21, but five late points from freshman
John Floyd would cut the Argo deficit to 19 heading into halftime.

Montana Tech scored the first basket of the second half and continued their momentum building their lead to 32 with 10 minutes remaining in the game.

The Argos will be back in action at the Frontier Conference Tournament on Mar. 2-4 in Great Falls, Mont.
