Argos Fall to #13 Eastern Oregon

GREAT FALLS, Mont. -- The University of Providence softball program fell to #13 Eastern Oregon 6-1 and 17-0 (5) on Friday afternoon.  
 
In game one the Mountaineers (16-3) got on the board first pushing two runs across in the top of the third, but in the bottom of the fourth senior Sydnee Weber singled to center field to score freshman Tehneson Ehnes.
 
Eastern Oregon scored four runs in the top of the fifth, and despite late pressure from the Argos (6-15), UP fell to the Mountaineers 6-1.
 
In game two the Mountaineers started out hot, scoring five runs in the top of the first, two runs in the top of the second, and six runs in the top of the third to take a commanding 13-0 lead.
 
Eastern Oregon scored four runs over the final two innings, and despite UP putting a pair of runners on in the bottom of the fifth, the Argos fell to the Mountaineers 17-0 (5).
