GREAT FALLS, Mont. -- The University of Providence
men's soccer team defeated Corban University 3-2 to pick up their first Cascade Collegiate Conference victory Saturday afternoon.
The action started right away for the Argos (1-4-1) when in the second minute of the contest freshman
Musa Jallow took advantage of a Corban mistake and went one-one-one with the goalie and his shot went off the post and in to put UP ahead 1-0.
The Warriors (2-5) answered immediately with a goal from Zachary Milczarek forty seconds later, and Corban did not stop there taking the lead in the fourth minute with a goal from Santiago Castano.
Both teams settled down the rest of the half with each adding a shot on frame, but neither side could find the back of the net as the Argos went into the break trailing by one.

Angel Nolasco found sophomore
Jose Gonzalez in the box and his header beat the Warrior goalkeeper to tie the game at two.
Each side went back-and-forth over the next thirty minutes until a corner kick from sophomore
Pedro Rodrigues hit sophomore
Ole Heinsohn in the box and his header gave the Argos a 3-2 edge.
The Warriors threatened over the last nine minutes, but the Argos defenders stood strong as UP picked up their first Cascade Collegiate Conference victory of the season defeating Corban 3-2.
The Argos will be back in action Friday, Sept. 26 when they travel to College Place, Wash. The first touch is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. (MST) versus Walla Walla University. Â Â
