GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence women's wrestling team heads Cedar Falls, Iowa for the NWCA National Duals on Jan. 9-10. The Argos will wrestle #18 Dickinson State in the Round of 16 at 9:00 a.m. (MST).
 
Last Time Out
The Argos placed second as a team at the North Central Invitational and saw senior Erin Hikiji win her third straight title at the illustrious event defeating Lillian Zapata 10-0, Alexis Winecke 10-0, NCAA #8 Mia Zuniga 10-0 in the semifinals, and defeated Iowa commit Madison Niewenhuis 10-0 in the championship match. After dominating the field, Hikiji was named the Outstanding Wrestler of the tournament for the third consecutive year.

Rankings
The Argos set a new program record moving up to the #2 ranking in the NAIA Top 20 poll and have 12 individual wrestlers ranked in the top 20 of their respective weight classes in #1 Erin Hikiji (103), #1 Waipuilani Estrella-Beauchamp (131), #3 Paige Morales (110), #3 Alyssa Randles (124 #5 Esther Han (138), ), #7 Elise Twait, #8 Joely Slyter (117), #9 Hailey Sutton (160), #9 Aspen Dodge (160), #10 Kayla Shota (110), #10 Kassidy Sigda (180), and #12 Isa Bocanegra (103).
 
National Duals
The National Dual Meet Championships take place at the Uni-Dome in Cedar Falls, Iowa, on January 9-10. The teams that finish in the top 16 at the previous year's NAIA National Championships are invited to compete for a National Dual Meet Championship. After the top eight teams are seeded, the remaining eight are drawn in to create a 16-team double-elimination bracket. With the #2 ranking, #18 Dickinson State was drawn to face the Argos in the first round on Friday, Jan. 9.

The Blue Hawks were ranked #18 in the latest NAIA Top 25 Poll and have 4 wrestlers ranked in the top 25 of their respective weight classes in #2 Jumoke Adekoye (131), #6 Jazmine Turner (117), #8 Jenna Gerhardt (110), and #17 Mikayla Jardine (117). The Argos are 1-0 in their history versus the Blue Hawks defeating Dickinson State 44-3 last season in Great Falls.
