GLENDALE, Ariz. -- The University of Providence women's wrestling program had 11 athletes reach the championship matches at the Firestorm Open on Friday.

Seniors Waipuilani Estrella-Beauchamp, Esther Han, sophomore Hailey Sutton, and freshman Elise Twait all placed first while Erin Hikiji and Isa Bocanegra at 103 and Paige Morales and Kayla Shota at 110 met each other in the championship match and double-forfeited.

Estrella-Beauchamp went 4-0 on Friday pinning all four of her opponents in under 25 seconds. She spent a total of 67 seconds on the mat with pins in 11 seconds, 20 seconds, 12 seconds, and 24 seconds.

Han finished her day 3-0 win a pair of pins in 2:02 and 2:04 and defeated Iris Lyman 10-0 on her way to first-place finish.

Twait also went 3-0 on Friday pinning Danielle Williams in 46 seconds, defeating Audrey Villalon-Estrada 10-0, and bested Jessica Mendez 5-5 in the championship match.

Sutton finished the Firestorm open 2-0 picking up a pair of tech falls defeating Katy Madril 10-0 and Trinity Bouchal 12-2.

Seniors Nyla O'Brien, Kassidy Sigda, and junior Alyssa Randles all advanced to the championship matches but came up short finishing in second.

The Argos will be back in action Sunday, March 1 when they head to Ashland, Ore. for the Cascade Collegiate Conference Championships.
