BILLINGS, Mont. -- The University of Providence men's basketball team fell to #11 Rocky Mountain College 77-61 Saturday night.
The Battlin' Bears (23-3) scored the first nine points of the game but a three-pointer on the other end from sophomore Quinn Swanson brought the Argos (5-21) within six.
The Argos continued their momentum with back-to-back layups from senior Brendan Redhead and junior Marvel Chambers Jr. to trim the lead to three.
Rocky Mountain College slowly increased their lead the rest of the half as UP went into the break trailing 32-23.
The Battlin' Bears opened the second half with a 13-0 run to stretch the lead to 22, and despite a late flurry from the Argos to cut the edge to 12, UP fell to #11 Rocky Mountain College 77-61.
The Argos will be back in action on Friday, Feb. 20 when they host Montana Western. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. (MST) in Great Falls, Mont. Â Â Â
