ASHLAND, Ore. -- The University of Providence women's wrestling program won their first team Cascade Collegiate Conference Championship and saw seven athletes crowned individual champions at the CCC Championships on Sunday.

Joely Slyter all were crowned champions at the CCC Championships and qualified for the NAIA National Championships on Sunday. The Argos also had seniors

Aspen Dodge, and sophomores
Kayla Shota, and
Hailey Sutton qualify for the NAIA National Championships.
Hikiji pinned Vanessa Ramos in 0:40, and defeated Liana Ferreira 10-0 to advance to the championship match to punch her ticket to her fourth NAIA National Championship. Hikiji then met teammate sophomore
Isa Bocanegra in the championship match where she accepted the forfeit to win her third straight CCC Championship at 103.
Morales and Shota both went 2-0 on the day with Morales defeating Nia Avelino 12-0 in the quarterfinals and Nizhoni Tallman 12-1 in the semifinals. Shota pinned Leah Wallway in 39 seconds and defeated Kayla McNatt 12-2 in the semifinals. With three allocations at 110 both Morales and Shota qualified for the NAIA National Championships, and Morales accepted the forfeit over Shota to secure her third straight CCC Championship at 110. Â
Randles defeated Vanessa Alvarado 10-0 in the quarterfinals and Myia Weiler 8-0 in the semifinals to advance to the championship match at 124 which clinched her spot at the NAIA National Championships for the third consecutive season. In the championship match at 124, Randles defeated #13 Kaylee Annis 7-1 to win her second straight CCC Championship.
Estrella-Beauchamp defeated Erica Grant 10-0 and Makenna Duran 10-0 in the semifinals to advance to the championship match at 131 which punched her ticket to her fourth NAIA National Championship. In the championship match at 131, Estrella-Beauchamp pinned #16 Jade Morales in 40 seconds to win her fourth straight CCC Championship.
Twait defeated Jeslyn Ledezma 10-0 and Jocelyn Velasco 12-0 in the semifinals to advance to the championship match at 145 which punched her ticket to the NAIA National Championships. In the championship match at 145, Twait pinned #16 Veil Foreman in 3:42 to win her first career CCC Championship.
Han had a bye in the quarterfinals and then defeated Kaelyn Siason 11-0 in the semifinals to advance to the championship match at 138 which clinched her spot at the NAIA National Championships. In the championship match at 138, Han defeated #10 Makayla Correa 10-6 to win her first career CCC Championship.
Slyter also had a bye in the quarterfinals and then defeated Zeta Lee 10-0 in the semifinals to advance to the championship match at 117 where she defeated #19 Gloria Diaz 12-2 to win her first CCC Championship and secure her spot at the NAIA National Championship.
Dodge pinned her way to championship defeating Katy Madril in 2:16 and #8 Vida Boskovic in 4:55 to clinch a spot at the NAIA National Championships. In the championship match at 160, Dodge fell to #4 Shannon Workinger 9-0 to finish in second.
Sigda pinned Chloe Goddard 0:48 and defeated Natalie Gonzales 3-2 to advance to the championship match at 180. Sigda fell to #2 Kathryn Hingano to finish in second and then had to wrestle Genesis Rivera for true second with a spot at nationals on the line. Sigda defeated Rivera 5-1 to secure the second allocation at 180 and punch her ticket to the NAIA National Championships.
Sutton defeated Quilaztli Miguel-Lapham 4-1 but fell to Berlyn Davis in the quarterfinals. Sutton rallied in the consolation bracket defeating Hannah Hernandez 12-2 and then upset #8 Vida Boskovic 5-0 to advance to the third-place match. Sutton then faced off against Quilaztli Miguel-Lapham for a rematch from the first round and Sutton won 2-1 to place third and punched her ticket to the NAIA National Championships. Â
Bocanegra defeated Karen Salas 8-2 and Makayla Lopez 3-1 to advance to the championship match. After forfeiting to teammate
Erin Hikiji, Bocanegra wrestled for true second against Liana Ferreira and fell 6-0.
Argos set new program records with seven individual champions and had 11 total athletes reach the championship matches with all 12 wrestlers competing reaching the podium. UP won their programs first Conference Championship by 49 points scoring a total of 196 to Southern Oregon's 147 points in second. For the second consecutive season, senior
Erin Hikiji was named the Outstanding Wrestler of the tournament and head coach
Matt Atwood earned his second straight CCC Coach of the Year Award.Â
The Argos will be back in action on March 13-14 when they head to Park City, Kansas for the NAIA National Championships.
