GREAT FALLS, Mont. -- The University of Providence softball program defeated Bismarck State 8-7 and 4-3 to complete the sweep over the Mystics Saturday afternoon.
In game one the Argos (14-15) pushed the first run across when in the bottom of the second senior
Jaden Ruiz drew a bases loaded walk to score junior
Alix Bishop from third.

The Argos continued their momentum adding a pair of runs in the bottom of the third via a two RBI single from junior
Ella Galloway, and in the bottom of the fourth junior
Kasidy Yeoman singled to center to score freshman
Aleana Aionaaka to put UP in front 4-0.

The Mystics (8-21) answered with seven runs in the top of the sixth to take a three-run lead, but in the bottom half A. Bishop hit a three-run home run to left field to tie the game at seven heading into the seventh inning.

Following a shut down top half from sophomore
Madison Moultray, Aionaaka hit a single to left field to score Moultray to walk off the Mystics with an 8-7 victory.

In game two the Mystics pushed the first run across but in the bottom of the second, senior
Tiffany Fuentes and freshman
Mia Monroe hit a pair of fielder's choices for RBIs to put UP ahead 2-1.

Bismarck answered with two runs in the top of the fourth, but in the bottom of the sixth the Argos pulled off a double steal to tie the game at six, and Moultray followed with a fielder's choice to second base to score A. Bishop from third and give the Argos a 4-3 lead.

The Mystics put the first runner on base in the top of the seventh, but Yeoman threw her out at second and Moultray slammed the door on the mound to secure the Argos 4-3 victory.

The Argos will be back in action Thursday, April 2 when they head to Madison, S.D. UP will face Dakota State in a pair of double-headers on Thursday and Friday.  Â
