GREAT FALLS, Mont. -- The University of Providence softball program hit seven home runs to clinch a Frontier Conference series win with a pair of victories over Bellevue University on Saturday.
In game one the Argos (20-19) scored the first run of the contest when in the bottom of the first junior
Tehneson Ehnes put the ball in play to score freshman
Aleana Aionaaka from third.
The Bruins (18-19) answered with a pair of runs over the next two innings but in the bottom of the third junior
Kasidy Yeoman hit a SAC fly to score senior
Jaden Ruiz and Ehnes hit a solo home run to center field to put UP in front 3-2.
The Argos did not stop there adding four more runs in the third when senior
Tiffany Fuentes hit an RBI single, freshman
Mia Monroe hit an RBI double, and junior
Ella Galloway hit a single to center to score Monroe and Fuentes to give UP a 7-2 lead.
The Bruins added four runs in the fifth and the sixth, but Ehnes hit her second and third home runs of the game in three straight at bats to secure the Argos 10-6 victory in game one.
In game two the Bruins pushed the first run across in the top of the second, but the Argos quickly responded with a solo home run from junior
Alix Bishop and an RBI single from senior
Kaily Gull to put UP ahead 3-2.
Bellevue added a pair of runs in the third to take a one-run lead but in the bottom half junior
Erin Bishop doubled to left to score Yeoman and A. Bishop hit her second home run of the day to put UP ahead 5-3.
The Argos added a run in the bottom of the fourth off a solo home run from Gull, but the Bruins responded with four runs over the next two innings to take a one-run lead into the bottom of the seventh.
Following a lead off double from Yeoman to begin the seventh, Ehnes hit a two-run home run to right field for her fourth of the day to give the Argos an 8-7 walk-off win in game two.

The Argos will be back in action Friday, April 17 when they host Mayville State University. UP will face the Comets at 2:00 p.m. (MST) and 4:00 p.m. (MST) in Great Falls, Mont.
