GREAT FALLS, Mont. -- The University of Providence softball program completed the sweep over Mayville State defeating the Comets 7-4 and 11-2 Sunday afternoon.
 
In game one The Comets (11-28) scored the first runs of the contest with a two RBI triple in the top of the first but in the bottom of the second the Argos (24-19) answered with an RBI single from sophomore Madison Moultray to cut the deficit in half.
 
The Argos continued their momentum into the bottom of the third when junior Tehneson Ehnes hit a two RBI double and junior Erin Bishop followed with a two-run home run to put UP in front 5-2.
 
The Argos added a pair of runs off a two-run home run from Moultray in the sixth, and despite the Comets pushing two runners across in the top of the seventh, Moultray picked up the save on the mound allowing two base runners and striking out two.
 
Sophomore Madison White picked up the win on the mound, throwing six innings and striking out seven.
 
In game two the Argos scored the first runs of the contest when in the bottom of the second junior Alix Bishop hit a two-run home run and freshman Aleana Aionaaka followed with a two RBI double to give UP a 4-0 lead. With A. Bishop's 11^th home run of the season, she tied the program record for the most home runs in a single season.
 
The Comets answered with a run in the top of the third, but in the bottom half the Argos scored seven runs behind an RBI double from E. Bishop, an RBI single from A. Bishop, a RBI double from junior Kaily Gull, a two RBI single from sophomore Campbell Brose, and a two RBI double from E. Bishop to put UP ahead 11-1.
 
Mayville State added a run in the top of the fifth but junior Ashley Mitchell threw all five innings for her eighth win of the season as UP defeated the Comets 11-2.
