KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Argo women's wrestling moved down a spot to No. 13 and
Dajan Treder continues to hold the No. 1 spot at 123 pounds.
The Argos fell to Southern Oregon University in a 13-10 defeat and also competed in the Oregon Wrestling Classic.
Treder maintains her spot at the top of the 123-pound weight class. She garnered two pins, a pair of technical falls, and a victory by rule over the past month. Against the Raiders, Treder defeated then No. 14 Kirra Saunders in a decisive 10-0 first-period tech fall. During the Oregon Wrestling Classic, Treder also earned a two-minute pin over No. 1 Menlo College's No. 18 ranked Laynee Pasion.
Yurie Yoneoka fell a spot to No. 4 in the poll. Yoneoka claimed a first-period pin during the Argos dual loss against Southern Oregon and advanced to the semifinals during the Oregon Wrestling Classic before falling to Menlo's 109-pound No. 1 ranked Alleida Martinez and then eventually falling in the third-place match to Kateri Rowell of Gray Harbor College.
Jenna Awana also moved down a spot to No. 11 following her fifth-place finish at the Oregon Wrestling Classic. She fell to No. 8 ranked Brittany Woods-Orrison of Menlo during the opening round before battling her way back to the consolation semifinals where she fell to Carson Pipher of D-II Colorado Mesa University. Awana earned a 1:53-minute mark over her second NCAA Division II opponent of the weekend against Simon Fraser's Abby Chufar pink to capture fifth.
Angelica Sletten fell three spots to No. 17 following January's competition. Sletten fell in the first round of the champion bracket to No. 1 ranked Gracie Figueroa of Menlo College before receiving her second technical fall of the weekend at the hands of Big Bend Community College's Lynette Samano.
