Great Falls, Mont. – The University of Providence men's wrestling team was ranked #14 in the latest NAIA Coaches' Poll, up two spots from the preseason poll.
The Argos have been off to a hot start this season,
defeating then-ranked #17 Montana State – Northern in the opening dual of the season, and then
defeating Southern Oregon last Wednesday in a dual.
The team recently returned from an open hosted by Grandview in Des Moines, Iowa. The Vikings sit atop of the poll, and five Argos placed in the open division.
Casey Dobson was voted as the top individual wrestler at 157 lbs.
Shonn Roberts (149) was voted 4
th, while
Jordan Komac (165) and
John Hensley (197) were voted 8
th in their respective weight classes.
The Argos will
hit the mats again on Friday at Great Falls Central Catholic High School, where they'll take on Warner Pacific at 7 p.m.
