GREAT FALLS, Mont. – Four Argos won the tournaments in their weight class in a folkstyle tournament on day two of the Battle of the Rockies.

Chris Mesa (141), Shonn Roberts (149), Casey Dobson (157) and John Hensley (197) all won their individual weight classes. Seven more Argos placed in the top 6; Boone Giulio (157) placed 2^nd, Gage Bentley (165) finished 3^rd, Hayden Schrull (183) placed third, Clayton Gilliam (133) finished 5^th, Gavin Gies (141) finished 6^th, Josh Pepos (149) took 6^th, and Alex Quick (174) also finished 6^th.

Shonn Roberts took down Salvador Silvan from North Idaho College. He started down 4-2, but came back to win by major decision 17-4.

"I had a tough match at the end," Roberts said. "I got shocked at the beginning. I just kept wrestling. I trust in my coaches and my training. It was good for me to get taken down right away and fight a little bit of adversity."

Though he's proud of the win, Roberts has his eyes on a much bigger prize.

"I can't wait for the bigger stuff," he said. "It isn't just the goal to win the Battle of the Rockies, but it's a stepping stone. Every day has a purpose. This is another step forward."

The Argos will hit the mats again for the GPAC duals on December 15 in Prescott, Arizona.
