SPEARFISH, S.D. – Argo track and field concluded the indoor regular season in the 2019 Stinger Open hosted by Black Hills State University in Spearfish, South Dakota over the weekend. The Argos competed in a field of NCAA Division II competition, along with Rocky Mountain College.
On the women's side,
Jillian Sanchez,
Kaylee Beer, and
Kristen Nash set personal bests in the weight throw, while also competing in the shot put.
All three Argos set new PRs in the women's weight throw, with Sanchez leading the way with a huge 15.45-meter toss, placing third in the field. Beer finished right behind Sanchez in fourth with a distance of 13.82 meters. Nash claimed a seventh-place finish with a performance of 12.52 meters.
Sanchez also had an incredible performance in the shot put, claiming second with a distance of 11.97 meters. Kirsten Nash threw for 9.56 meters, while
Kaylee Beer finished with a distance of 9.12 meters.
On the track,
Makayla Cook and
Kita Weingart competed in the women's one-mile run. Cook and Weingart finished 10
th and 11
th crossing in a time of 6:34.40 and 6:42.54, respectively.
On the men's side,
Zebadiah Boos had another stellar weekend as he competed in the weight throw and shot put.
In the weight throw, Boos finished fifth with a distance of 14.67 meters, while also finishing sixth in the shot put with a distance of 12.87 meters.

The Argos will open the outdoor track and field season on February 23 as the Argos compete in the Lewis-Clark D&D Half Marathon in Lewiston, Idaho.
