GREAT FALLS, Mont. – Argo men's basketball snagged a huge addition to their 2019-20 signing class as head coach
Steve Keller announced the signing of Browning's Tyree Whitcomb on Tuesday.
Whitcomb, a 6-7 forward from Browning, Montana, joins the Argos after a stellar career at Browning High School. As a senior, he averaged a double-double, notching 17 points and 11 rebounds per contest, while also leading Northwest A division in assists, rebounds and steals. He also ranked third in the division in total scoring and blocked shots.
He helped lead the Indians to back-to-back State Class A tournament appearances during his junior and senior seasons. During the 2018-19 season, Whitcomb was named as a Co-MVP for Northwest A, in addition to earning First Team All-Conference and being named Class A All-State.
"We are very excited to welcome Tyree to the Argo basketball team. He has great size and even more impressive guard skills. He can shoot the three as well as get to the rim," said coach Keller. "Tyree was a vital part of a Browning team that went 23-4 this past season. We look forward to watching him develop into a very good player in the Frontier Conference."
