LA GRANDE, Ore. – The Cascade Conference announced that University of Providence wrestler Shonn Roberts has been named the Red Lion Men's Wrestler of the Week.

The #3 ranked 149 lb. wrestler in the nation went 5-0 over the weekend in the National Duals in Louisville, Kentucky, including three wins over individually ranked opponents and led the Argos to a 7^th place finish.

"This is pretty cool," Roberts said. "It shows that I had a good week. This is a good stepping stone into what I want to accomplish this year. I want to continue to have fun and wrestle hard. I want to have the right attitude and the right effort every time and then try and win every match."

Roberts defeated Jalen Soto of Southeastern 11-2, #8 Tanner Abbas from Grandview 9-3, #18 Connor Gimson 9-0 from Indiana Tech, Austin Ramsey of Lindsey Wilson 6-0 and #12 Andreus Bond 9-0.

Roberts and the rest of the men's wrestling team will travel to Marshall, Missouri this weekend for the Missouri Valley Invite.
