DICKINSON, N.D. – Two wrestlers from the 9
th ranked University of Providence men's wrestling team finished second at the Tyler Plummer Open on Saturday.
TJ Baun (141 lbs.) and
KC Buday (285 lbs.) each finished second in the open tournament.
Boone Giulio (157 lbs.) finished 3
rd, while
Christian Balagso (133 lbs.) John Johnson (157 lbs.) and
Hunter Myers (174 lbs.) finished 4
th.
"Overall the effort was pretty good today," assistant coach
Ty Vinson said. "There was for sure some quality mat time for a lot of the guys that haven't been on a lot of varsity trips. These guys haven't competed since our tournament in Great Falls in December. That's a lot of practice time in the room not getting a chance to compete. These guys were hungry and did well."
The Argos will travel to La Grande, Oregon next weekend for a dual against Eastern Oregon University.
