GREAT FALLS, Mont. - The University of Providence strength and conditioning program announced that
John Hensley and
Jensyn Turner were named the S&C January Athletes of the Month.
The Strength and Conditioning Athletes of the Month is awarded by the strength and conditioning staff to an athlete who embodies the
three core values of the the Argo Strength and Conditioning Philosophy: strength of discipline, strength of spirit and strength of unity.
Hensley, a senior from Boise, Idaho, is a member of the University of Providence men's wrestling team.
"The characteristics Hensley shows on a daily basis are exactly what we look for within our team leaders," strength and conditioning coach
Regan Quaal said. "He has shown great discipline during the closing months of the season by ramping up his own personal training, while keeping all of his teammates motivated to do the same."
Turner, a junior from Payson, Utah, is a member of the University of Providence volleyball team.
"Jensyn possesses a tremendous athletic ability and work ethic," strength and conditioning coach Will Seever said. "She strives to learn and get better each day. Her presence in the weight room makes everyone around better."
