Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Lights Out Shooting From Harris-Williams Leads #13 Argos Past Battlin' Bears

GREAT FALLS, Mont. – Davien Harris-Williams was on fire Saturday night, scoring 31 points off the bench, including 22 in the second-half, to lead the #13 University of Providence men's basketball team over Rocky Mountain College 98-76. Harris-Williams was 10/11 from the field, including 8/9 from beyond the arc on the way to recording his career-high.

"Great game for Davien," head coach Steve Keller said. "31 points, 8/9 from three. That's unbelievable."

Five other Argos (5-0, 5-0) scored in double-digits; Zaccheus Darko-Kelly scored 15 and had five assists, Rashee Stocks scored 14 points and grabbed four rebounds, Marcus Stephens and Jaxen Hashley both scored 12 points and Jake Olsen contributed 10 points, five assists and four rebounds. As a team the Argos had a whopping 28 assists compared to just five turnovers.

"That might be the most assists in a night that a team of mine has ever had," Keller said. "They've been sharing the ball and they took care of the ball. Great team effort."

Despite the lopsided score, the game was much closer earlier on. The Battlin' Bears (1-4, 1-4) were down just five at the half after hitting eight threes. The Argos came out of the break with an increased defensive tenacity, forcing a total of 13 turnovers as the game concluded.

"Defense is the key," Keller said. "Our offense starts with our defense. We started guarding in the second half. They had eight threes in the first half and then only hit one at the end. We got after it defensively in the second half. That's what's good about our team."

The Argos will return to the court tomorrow in a rematch against Rocky Mountain. The game will tip off at 2 p.m.

"Getting the first one is always big," Keller said. "Now we got to try to get the second. It's always good to get a home sweep."
