Argos Start Season with Successful Scrimmage

GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence women's wrestling team kicked off their season Friday night with an intra-squad scrimmage in the McLaughlin Center.

The scrimmage consisted of a total of 19 duals, with some members of the team wrestling three different times.

"I'm actually surprised," head coach Matt Atwood said. "I was worried there was going to be some patty cake. They're teammates so I thought they'd be a little more friendly with each other. They all came out and they battled. It was fun."

The night consisted of a lot of duals between girls from different weight classes. Atwood loved how the team responded to unusual matchups.

"There was a lot of good things tonight," he said. "There was a lot of girls that showed a lot tonight."
