Argo JV Goes 2-1 on the Weekend

GREAT FALLS, Mont. - The University of Providence men's basketball JV Team went 2-1 over the opening weekend of action.

The Argos defeated Rocky Mountain College 102-93 Friday in the opening game of the season. Brett Thompson lead the Argos with 33 points on seven made three-pointers Josiah Amunrud added 21 points, Fisher Richardson had 17 and Isaac Bell rounded out the double-digit scoring with 14. The Argos finished with 19 made three-pointers in the contest. Daniel Kruer finished with eight points, Warren DeMark added four, Hayden Harrell added three and Connor Murgel finished with two.

On Saturday, the Argos fell to the Battlin' Bears 105- 91. Richardson led the Argos with 25 points, followed by Amunrud who finished with 24. Thompson added 15 points and Sam Norum, who played in his first game of the season chipped in 14. Bell added 5 points, Murgel finished with 4 points and DeMark added 2.

The Argos had a quick turnaround as they faced New Lobby Lounge on Monday night.  Amunrud lead the Argos in scoring with 24 points on five three-pointers in a 83-75 win. Richardson added 18, while Bell finished with 14. Kruer came in off the bench to chip in nine points. Murgel added five while  Demark and Norum both finished with four. The Argos as a team finished the game with 11 three-pointers made.

The Argos JV Team is back in action October 25th at 6:00 p.m. against New Lobby Lounge in the McLaughlin Center.
