KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The awards keep piling on for the University of Providence volleyball team. The NAIA announced on Thursday that for the second straight season, three Argo volleyball players have been named All-Americans.

Cydney Finberg-Roberts and Sadie Lott were both named 2nd Team All-Americans, while Jenna Thorne was named an Honorable Mention All-American.

"I'm really pleased with the fact that our kids are getting recognized like that," head coach Arunas Duda said. "The fact that they are all All-Americans means there is national recognition. I couldn't be happier for the girls and am pleased that they are getting recognized and given that recognition for all their hard work."

Finberg-Roberts was named a 2nd Team All-American for the second straight season. The senior from Columbia Falls, Mont. had a dominant season, averaging 10.8 assists and 2.9 digs per set. She recorded 1,164 assists on the year, breaking her own school record of 1,116 set last season.

Throughout the season Finberg-Roberts collected six Frontier Conference Player of the Week awards, the most of anyone in the conference. She was named the Frontier Conference Player of the Year for the and the American Volleyball Coaches Association Regional Setter of the Year, both awards that she's now received two seasons in a row.

"You watch her at the National Tournament, she's making good choices, she's playing good defense, she's blocking balls," Duda said. "She's doing everything she can so she definitely stood out as one of the best setters in the country."

Lott was named a 2nd Team All-American after being named an Honorable Mention All-American last season. Facing consistent double teams throughout the season, Lott still managed to average 3.3 kills per set. She was also a force defensively, recording 3.2 digs per set and 1.1 blocks per set.

For her efforts on the season, Lott was named 1st Team All-Conference and 1st Team All-Region. She also became the first player in program history to be named to the NAIA All-Tournament team after a dominant tournament performance.

"Her performance at the National Tournament really showcased how talented she is," Duda said. "The way she played against the good competition – she was matched up with a 6'5 middle who she tore apart. She hit seams, hit around her and beat her to certain spots. She even outblocked her by the end of the match. This is definitely something that's earned."

Thorne was named an Honorable Mention All-American in her first year in the program. The sophomore from New Zealand recorded a team-high 362 kills, good for 3.5 kills per set. Thorne was dominant throughout the season, winning four Frontier Conference Player of the Week awards en route to being named the Conference Newcomer of the Year, 1st Team All-Conference and 1st Team All-Region.

"She was tremendous for us all year long," Duda said. "Her future is extremely bright here. She's only getting better and better. What a positive impact that she's made in year one. She was a go-to hitter for us for a lot of the season."

This marks the second straight season that the team has produced three All-Americans. Last year, Finberg-Roberts was named to the 2nd Team while Lott and Sacha Legros were named Honorable Mention.

"It just shows that our team is getting recognized nationally," Duda said. "They are recognizing the fact that it isn't just a one-time thing. We are coming back every year. We're a perennial National Tournament team that has a bunch of good players that are going to perform all year long. It's great to see that recognition and great for the kids to be recognized like that. I couldn't be prouder of them."
