GREAT FALLS, Mont. - University of Providence sophomore guard Eric Milner was selected as the Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Milner, from San Bernadino, Calif., scored a career high 23 points on 10-16 shooting in an 86-80 loss at No. 4 College of Idaho and scored 16 points in a nine-point loss to Eastern Oregon at the Taco Bell Shootout in Caldwell, Idaho.
Milner is second on the team averaging 13.9 points per game, is shooting 48.2% from the field, 85.2% from the free throw line and 33.3% from the three-point line, along with 2.5 assists per game.
This is the second straight week an Argo has been named the Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Player of the Week after Kenny Curtis earned the award last week.
Providence will open Frontier play hosting MSU-Northern Thursday night at the McLaughlin Center. The Argo women will play the Skylights at 5 PM followed by the men's game at 7 PM. Fans can watch both games live at www.upargos.com.
