GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence track and field team will compete in their final track meet before the Frontier Conference Championships during the Trudnowski Open. The two-day event, which is hosted by Carroll College in Helena, Mont., will begin on Thursday, April 21 at 12:00 p.m.

The Argos will come into the meet with a lot of energy, as they come into the meet off a two-week break from competition. The team had to deal with the colder weather, but still managed to put together a strong of productive practice sessions.

"It's been good," head coach Tony Arntson said. "These two weeks gave our kids a better chance to heal and get closer to being fully healthy. It's such a quick turnover from this meet to the conference championships. The rest has been good for us. For the most part the practice time has been really good."

The Trudnowski Open will all the Frontier schools and Montana State-Billings. The coaching staff is hoping to use this meet as a gauge to see where individuals are at before the Frontier Conference Championships next week, which begins April 26 at Memorial Stadium in Great Falls.

"We'll get a little bit of a preview before the Frontier Conference Tournament," Arntson said. "It's big for the confidence of the kids. Hopefully we see the improvement that we want. We had a lot of great improvements in our home meet. To make that next step would be huge."
