GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence men's basketball team announced that they are adding Ken Curtis to the program.
Curtis, a 5'8 point guard, joins the team from Highline Community College in Des Moines, Wash. He started 25 games for the Thunderbirds, averaging 14.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and a team-high 4.1 assists and 2.1 steals per game. Curtis is a weapon from beyond the arc, shooting 39.2% from deep and averaging over two three-pointers a game.
Curtis, who will have three years of eligibility as an Argo, is originally from Rainier Beach High School in Seattle, Wash. where he led the Vikings lead to a league championship as a senior.
"We are very excited to add Kenny Curtis to our Argo basketball program," head coach
Steve Keller said. "He was the starting point guard at Highline Community College this past year. He averaged 14 points per game and also led his team in assists and steals. He will be a very good player in our league."
Curtis will plan to study psychology at Providence.
