"It was a tough meet," throws coach
Alan Cress said. "There was a lot of competition there. Just by the caliber of people that were there this was just as good as the competition we're going to get at Nationals. It was tough. It was a tough meet. They either performed really well or found out what it was like to perform at a higher level. You were either there or you were on the outside looking in. It was great for our team."
The meet wraps up the regular season for the Argo track and field team. The team will now focus on the four NAIA National Qualifiers – Clark,
Allyson Conner,
Tatiana Martinez, and Sanchez – as they prepare for the National Championships, which will begin May 25 in Gulf Shores, Ala.
"We're just going to work on little things that might be holding us back," Cress said. "That's what we're going to focus on. We're not going to fix big things right now. We're just going to keep drilling, drilling, drilling until we get there. We want to get our reps in. We're paying attention to our form. We're going to change our mindset so that we're confident. We're going to try to throw a perfect throw every day in practice. We want to feel good about it and feel relaxed at Nationals."
