GREAT FALLS, Mont. - It will be a top-10 battle Sunday when the No. 8-ranked University of Providence women's wrestling team battles No. 3-ranked Southern Oregon in Ashland.
The Argos and Raiders were set to battle last month but injuries to many of the Providence women forced the movement to this weekend. Southern Oregon is looking to finish the regular season unbeaten in duals as the Raiders enter with a perfect 7-0 mark.
The Raiders have 11 nationally ranked individuals, all among the top-14 in their respective weight classes, led by No. 1 Carolina Moreno – a sophomore defending national champion at 123. Esthela Trevino (101), Emily Se (143) and Joye Levendusky (170) are all No. 2, and Natalie Reyna (109) is No. 3. Bella Amaro (136) is sixth, Bailey Dennis (155) seventh, Macie Stewart (109) eighth, Grace Kristoff (191) ninth and Glory Konecny (116) 10th. Karrah Smith (191) rounds out the group at No. 14.
